How long has DLF Painting been in business?
Founded by Dale Forry in 1992, DLF Painting has grown to be a successful family-owned business for over 18 years.
 
What areas do you serve?
We travel throughout the Tampa Bay area.  You can find our work in all the major counties - Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas - as well as areas north and south of the bay.

Also Raleigh and the surrounding cities.
 
Is DLF Professional Painting insured?
Yes.  You can rest assured that we carry adequate insurance.  
 
Tell me about your employees.
Our employees have been with us for over 11 years and have proven to be entirely trustworthy and honest.    Our team is sensitive to the fact that painting your home may disrupt daily activities.  We are flexible and will paint your home based on your needs and your schedule.  DLF's team is mindful of and respects your family and your home.
 
Is there a charge for a written painting estimate?
No, DLF Painting does not incur any charge for providing you with a written estimate.
 
Does DLF Painting guarantee their work?
YES!  When we complete your painting project and clean up, our work is guaranteed to meet with your approval.  Our commitment to you is to provide the best service.  We want to do business with a homeowner who is satisfied with their decision to choose DLF Painting.  Our team works with you to ensure you are satisfied.  All of our work is warrantied for five years.
 
Do you accept credit cards?
We regret that DLF Painting does not accept credit cards.  Our terms are payment in full upon completion and acceptance by the homeowner.
 
I have always painted my own rooms.  Why would I choose a painting contractor to do what I have always done?
DLF Painting gives you and your home individual attention.  We work with you to discuss colors, how the room will be used, who will inhabit the room and how to cause the least disruption to your daily needs.  We are in the painting industry and stay abreast of the latest painting trends and products.  Choosing a professional painter provides you with insights, dos and don'ts, and tips.  A professionally painted home is an inexpensive way to freshen up and protect your home's exterior and brighten up the interior.  
 
Can I provide my own paint?
Yes, if you have a paint preference DLF Painting will work with you.  Our 18 years of experience has proven that Sherwin-Williams produces the best product.  Our business relationship with the local Sherwin-Williams stores allows us to obtain paint at contractor prices.  If you have a specific paint in mind please let us know when we prepare your written estimate.
 
The paint on my house is fine, but it is looking a bit dingy.  Do I need to paint it?
DLF Painting will inspect your home to determine if pressure washing will improve its exterior.  In some instances a good pressure washing will brighten up a home.  We would be happy to come out and take a look.
 
I do not like the smell of paint, and it seems to linger.  My son's nursery needs painting and I am concerned about the fumes.  Do you have any recommendations?  
DLF Painting recommends and uses a Sherwin-Williams product called Harmony Interior Acrylic Latex paint.  Harmony is a low-odor, no-VOC paint, so what is emitted into the air is more environmentally friendly.  This paint is: ideal for use in any child's room or nursery; anti-micorbial, inhibiting mildew growth; and available in a flat finish, eggshell finish or semi-gloss finish.  Harmony paint has earned the Good Housekeeping seal of approval. I live in a gated community that requires an entry code.  Do I have to be at home in order to get a written estimate for painting the exterior of my home?
DLF Painting has encountered this situation many times, and we use a simple, safe process.  Our customers call us and provide their home address and gate code.  We then provide a written estimate and place it in your door.  Please know that your information is treated with respect and remains confidential.  If you have specific concerns, please call Jim at 813.949.9073.  He will personally answer your questions.  
 
I do not live in a gated community, but I am not at home during business hours.  Can I get a painting estimate during non-business hours?  
Certainly.  DLF Painting can accommodate you and will prepare a written estimate at your convenience.  We are available to meet with you evenings or weekends.  Just let us know what works best for you.  
 
Do I need to be at home in order for you to prepare a written exterior painting estimate?
No, you do not need to be at home.  DLF Painting can prepare a written estimate for your exterior painting at any time. Simply provide us with your address, city and zip code.  For your interior painting needs, we will need to meet with you to prepare a written estimate.    
 
My home is fine, but my driveway and garage floor look dirty.  Is there anything I can do?
Yes.  DLF Painting often pressure washes driveways and sidewalks with great results.  Garage floors can be washed and painted.  DLF would be happy to provide you with an estimate.
 
If you paint my living room, do I have to move my furniture?
DLF Painting does not expect you to move any heavy furniture.  Our team prepares a room for painting by removing the furniture, or by moving it into the center of the room.  We use large tarps to protect your home.  All wall hangings and nails should be removed.  
 
I am not ready to paint my home now, but I am curious about how much it will cost.  Will you still provide me with an estimate even though I am not ready to commit?
Yes, of course.  DLF Painting recognizes that any type of home improvement must be carefully planned and thought out.  Many homeowners do not immediately accept our estimate.  We would consider it a compliment if you do call us to provide you with an estimate.  Our written estimates are at no charge to you and are valid for one year.
 
I want my living room painted but I work during the day and am not at home, nor can I take off a day from work.  How do you handle this situation?
DLF Painting has encountered this situation many times in our 18 years of experience.  Our team is flexible and will work within your schedule.  For example, we can arrive at your home before you leave for work.  We will protect the surrounding area, paint your room, clean up after ourselves, and even feed your pets if you ask!  Please be assured that our team respects your home and the trust you have placed in us.    
 
Right now my home does not need painting, but my office at work could use some sprucing up.  Do you do commercial painting as well as residential?
Yes, we certainly do.  Some of DLF's commercial interior and exterior painting projects have included office buildings, apartment buildings, animal shelters, and doctors offices, to name a few.  Our commitment to excellence and providing our clients with the best finished product extends to our commercial accounts as well as residential.
